Nominated as one of only 100 Blue-Ribbon businesses in the nation in February, Rich Duncan Construction thought that alone was quite an honor. However, just two weeks later, the U.S. Chamber notified us that of those 100 businesses, only seven were named a regional finalist, and we were the Northwest winner! Being nominated as “the best of the best” in our region and representing the Northwest was an even higher and unexpected honor. The awards program, sponsored by Sam’s Club®, honors companies that demonstrate excellent business practices in several areas including strategy, employee development, community involvement, and customer service. “The Chamber celebrates the outstanding achievements of these award winners and is proud to recognize them for the positive impact they are making in their communities” states Thomas J. Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. “These small businesses are wonderful examples of the American Dream at work in our nation” Donahue continued. As part of the award, Rich Duncan, President, has been invited to travel to the America Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C. for recognition. There, one of the seven finalists will be awarded with a cash prize of $10,000 and the title of 2013 Small Business of the Year. We are thrilled to be selected to represent our region and Rich Duncan Construction thanks the community, our staff, and our loyal clients for their continued support and encouragement.
