SEDCOR – Fall Enterprise:
Profiles of Mid-Willamette Valley Construction Companies
The goal of any business of course, is to see continued growth and long-term success. And in order to have growth, a business must have the support of its community through clients, customers and business partners. A large part of this success for businesses could be their membership in local chambers and business associations. SEDCOR is a Salem-based corporation who works to “aggressively retain and attract high value jobs and capital investment, while providing member services that support business success in the Mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon”. Membership in SEDCOR offers many benefits to those businesses who belong, including promotion of local businesses and industries in their quarterly publication, Enterprise.
The Fall 2014 edition of Enterprise showcased and profiled numerous local construction companies, their impact on our community, and how they help with the growth and expansion of our community by bringing in new jobs and traded-sector dollars. Traded-sector companies are those that export their goods or services outside of their local region and then bring those dollars earned back into the local region they were produced or originated (Peters 6, Spring). Among the construction companies profiled was Rich Duncan Construction. Company President Rich Duncan, offered his professional opinions on the industry, his business goals, and the future for construction in the cover story article.
