Salem, OR – Rich Duncan Construction is pleased to announce its partnership with Salem Free Clinics to begin the interior remodel for additional administrative office space. To help support the volunteers and the work they do in our community, Rich Duncan, President, has agreed to donate 100% of the company’s profit for this project back to the Clinic. Duncan donates profit to the Clinic to assist with reaching their goals of growing the facility to help meet the needs of a community in need.
The main clinic, located at 1300 Broadway Ave NE, received a donation from a private donor to cover the expenses necessary to expand and remodel a space located next to their current location. The new space allows for expansion of the administrative offices, a need that is long overdue. Todd Gould, Executive Director for Salem Free Clinics, says that “there are so many volunteers and not enough space that volunteers are literally taking shifts in the offices; when one volunteer leaves for the day, another enters right after”. The Clinic operates solely on the use of its volunteers; from doctors to nurse practitioners to support and administrative staff.
The Clinic’s need for expansion and additional volunteers grows each year as the amount of patients needing health care increases. Currently, the volunteer healthcare professionals can see an average of up to 600 patients per month, all without access to health insurance. Salem Free Clinic is in the process of grant writing to obtain funds to hire a Nurse Practitioner. Receiving this grant would allow the Clinic to increase its patient capacity by 50%.
