Partnering together for a Discovery Pavilion
To help bring awareness to the importance of forest education and career opportunities in this area, several organizations and businesses are partnering together to bring the Discovery Pavilion to completion. Set to break ground in April, construction for this new outdoor classroom will replace the tent currently used as a student learning center. Together with the Oregon Garden Foundation, SEDCOR Construction Alliance and the Oregon Forest Resources Institute, RDC will build the Discovery Pavilion located in the Rediscovery Forest at the Oregon Garden. This collaboration will provide a place within the Rediscovery Forest to help reach additional students and educate them on the importance of Oregon timber. A fundraising goal of $175,000 has nearly been met due to generous pledges. RDC has contributed to this goal and will continue to work towards seeing this project completed sometime in mid-summer.
